Urban Quest Game with a Cause at the Rowing Canal
The Night of Angels Foundation organizes an annual charity festival that brings together people and businesses in support of a cause that gives hope to seriously ill patients. The 2025 edition took place on September 13 and 14, 2025, at the Rowing Canal in Plovdiv and attracted thousands of visitors, dozens of exhibitors, and more than 500,000 BGN in donations.
Inner Voice joined the festival program with an urban quest game called “Expedition through the Past: The Rowing Canal,” and all funds raised from participation in our games and puzzles were donated to support the festival’s causes.
How to Make Doing Good Fun
The main goal of our participation was to support the cause of the event while offering festival visitors a fun, accessible, and educational experience.
The challenge was to adapt the game so that it would be suitable for a diverse audience - families with children, young people, friends, and casual visitors to the event, some of whom were encountering the urban quest game format for the first time.
“Expedition through the Past: The Rowing Canal” - History and Mysteries
We created a special edition of our “Expedition through the Past” series, dedicated to one of the most iconic places in Plovdiv - the Rowing Canal. The game included 8 riddles and 8 short stories about different parts of the infrastructure and history of this place, beloved by the people of Plovdiv.
The game was adapted for beginners, with easy but intriguing riddles. It used codes and tools that made the experience both fun and accessible to all participants.
A Weekend for a Good Cause
- 30 teams participated in the game “Expedition through the Past: The Rowing Canal.”
- 790.50 BGN were donated to the causes of the festival by the Inner Voice stand.
- A total of 507,600 BGN was raised from all donations for the causes (announced on the official channels of “Night of the Angels” on October 5, 2025).
- Over 100 people learned interesting facts about the history of the Rowing Canal.
- We diversified the festival program with activities suitable for all ages.
- The event was filled with smiling participants, lots of enthusiasm, and a sense of community in which we help with kindness.
Games as a Tool for Doing Good
Inner Voice’s participation in Night of the Angels 2025 proved that urban quest games can be not only a means of entertainment, but also a way to support charitable causes. They successfully attract public attention, bring people together, and can fit into any type of event - including charitable initiatives, where entertainment and helping go hand in hand.
